Bet you can't wait to read this post, huh?
Okay, it's not all that bad, but I had a crummy day Thursday. I stayed up way too late on Wednesday night trying to study for my first test. I was nervous and not able to concentrate. When I finally went to bed, I only had 4 hours to sleep. Not even close to enough for this girl. I knew I was going to be wiped out on Thursday. I just had to get thru my test and lunch with a dear friend (which turned out to be the highlight of my day)!
I got up and got ready for my day. Left 2 minutes late, but no biggie. Then I got pulled over. Silly me, I have not been paying attention to my registration/inspection stickers. The nice officer let me know I was expired. Wasn't that sweet? Not today it wasn't! I'll fess up, I cried. Not because I was scared of him or ashamed that I wasn't taking care of my driver duties, but because I was exhausted and worried I would be late for my test. The officer was very kind and wished me luck on my exam, even assured me I would do great. Yeah, right buddy! Thanks for the ticket! Clearly he has no heart and wasn't swayed by my tears AT ALL!
I got back on the road with my ticket and 21 days to prove I can be a responsible adult. I made it to class with two minutes to spare. Not enough time to sneak in a little more study time. Boo! I took the test and I didn't do as well as I hoped I would - I didn't make an A. It has been a long time since my last test so I'm just going to count this as practice and rock all the others. Moving on.
I had about two hours before my lunch date and I have to tell you, I took a nap! It was too short but it was much needed. I met my beautiful, and beautifully pregnant, friend Sammie at Jack Allen's. I had Green Chili Pork Tacos and they were super delicious. I hope she didn't notice the fog I was in. It was nice to sit and chat with her and I'm looking forward to seeing her again at her baby shower in two weeks!
I was starting to feel bad, like I was getting a cold, so I went home and straight to bed! Fortunately, my mom was picking up Monkey and I was able to get in about 3 hours of much needed rest before we had dinner and went to the gym for Monkey's practice.
All in all, it wash't that bad but it was quite a full day for someone running on an empty tank. I'm just glad it is over. Now if I can just get to feeling better all will be back on track. I'm almost even tired of watching HGTV. . . nah.
As a happy side note, I'm loving the new washer/dryer. They work nicely and play the happiest little tune when they are done to let me know what's up. :o)
