On Friday I went to UMHB to take graduation pictures of my niece. She graduates from college on May 6 and she is thrilled! She has a countdown on her phone. So, I met up with her and her little sister and we spent a few hours taking pictures around the campus. The weather was perfect and we had a blast.
Afterwards we went to lunch and I headed back to the house to spend a little time with my honey and wash the sheets for our visitors. Both girls decided to come to our house for the weekend so I had two beds to freshen. What a boring and back breaking chore! They are worth it. :o)
When the girls got to the house we made dinner, and cupcakes for dessert. Afterwards we watched The Sitter. Wow, that movie was not what I expected. Funny, but all kinds of wrong! When it was over we ended up watching a little bit of Mean Girls on TV before bed. That movie was no award winner, but it always cracks me up.
The next morning we had breakfast and decided to do a little painting. Here are a few of the paintings we did. I didn't get a picture of TL's.
Melyn is quite the little artist. She designed the class T-shirt her Senior year of High School. She whipped out this tree in no time. Once she finished painting she had to head back to school and go to work. We were bummed she had to go.
After she left, we watched a crazy movie called ATM. I'm glad it was during the day because that movie was a little creepy! Don't rush out to see it. It wasn't that good.
We decided to head over to Lucy's Fried Chicken for dinner. The chicken is so good. The side dishes are a little random and strange but the chicken is great! I had heard the Sweet Tea pie was supposed to be wonderful but, I'll be honest, it almost made me barf. The texture is funky. It tasted like tea, but it was very odd. I should mention, they have a fabulous neon sign outside. I love it!
Easter morning we slept in a little, had a yummy breakfast and headed over to my mom's to decorate eggs and the bunny cake. Yeah, we do this a little out of order but Monkey is 13 so it's not like she believes in the Easter Bunny. She does, however, want the eggs and cake. Can't say I blame her.
Mom wore her new hat to church. She looked adorable!
And, finally, I mentioned when the roses started blooming that they would eventually explode. Well...here they are in full bloom. So pretty.
Now, if my allergies will stop trying to destroy me, all will be right in the world.
Have a wonderful week!
